Curriculum Vitae

I graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Psychology. I was a police officer at the Indiana University Police Department through the IU Cadet/Officer program, which is a program that allows students to complete the Police Academy and gain experience as university police officers while finishing their degrees. At IU, I worked on a project with Dr. Marla Sandys collecting sentencing and court information for murder cases in Indiana. The goal of this project was to create a database of these cases to investigate the arbitrariness of death penalty decisions. From my experience as an officer and in research, my areas of interest are in policing, police-involved shooting incidents, decision-making, law enforcement training, sentencing and the death penalty.
