Sandra K. Hoffman
Interim Director, Identity Theft Program
Ms. Hoffman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Services.
She graduated from Siena Heights University and did her Master’s
coursework at the University of Toledo.
Prior to her appointment as Interim Director, she was Associate
Director of the Michigan State University-Business Identity
Theft Partnerships in Prevention and Administrator of the
Identity Theft Crime and Research Laboratory for four years.
Sandra has over twenty-five years of experience in management
and accounting in the judicial system and in private industry.
In addition to serving as Interim Director, Ms. Hoffman
serves as a consultant for the Office for Educational Outreach
at Bowling Green State University-Firelands Campus as well
as holds a position with the Adrian Township Police Department.
In keeping with the University’s mission statement,
Sandra brings to the program a long history of public service.
She served eleven years on the Board of Directors, Lenawee
County Widowed Persons Service. Sandra is trained in crisis
intervention and has volunteered her services to Hospice
of Lenawee along with several public and private agencies.
Tracy McGinley
Instructor, Identity Theft Program
Prior to moving to Ohio, Tracy McGinley was involved with
the Identity Theft Partnerships in Prevention program from
its inception. She worked with Dr. Collins on research projects
and assisted in teaching the workshops available. She is
currently an instructor of Criminal Justice at Bowling Green
State University – Firelands Campus in Huron, Ohio.
Her interests focus on policing and investigations. In addition
to her teaching experience, Ms. McGinley helps to educate
youth about proper investigative techniques by teaching “CSI – Huron” classes
through the Office of Educational Outreach at Bowling Green
State University – Firelands. Furthermore, understanding
the global issues surrounding crime, Ms. McGinley has worked
with Ms. Hoffman in developing an on-line training program
for military personnel.
Ms. McGinley holds a Masters degree from the University
of Toledo and is hoping to complete her Doctorate with Michigan
State University. She has previous experience working with
law enforcement agencies, working in community corrections
and also working private security.
