HUMAN TRAFFICKING AWARENESS TRAINING

The Michigan RCPI will be sending two trainers to the Bureau of Justice Assistance Human Trafficking Train-the-TrainerWorkshop in April 2005.  Upon completion of that two-day workshop, the trainers will assist the RCPI in delivering workshops on Human Trafficking Awareness at various locations around the state.  The 8-hour curriculum that will be delivered in Michigan is designed to promote law enforcement and community awareness of human trafficking within the United States.

The overall course objectives include:

  • Orient law enforcement and others to the issue of human trafficking.
  • Increase law enforcement awareness of victim identification and rescue issues and investigation and prosecution methods.
  • Promote a coordinated community response.
We anticipate the first training session to be available to law enforcement in early Fall 2005.  Watch for it on our
Training Information Page.
