HOMELAND SECURITY
The
Michigan RCPI is in the process of developing two web-based terrorism awareness programs that will be
accessible through the RCPI’s web page.
- “Community Anti-Terrorism Awareness” – A
self-paced terrorism awareness program aimed at enhancing citizen knowledge
and awareness of both international and domestic terrorism. While increasing
citizen awareness and preparedness, a secondary objective is the strengthening
of citizen and law enforcement partnerships in our communities to battle
terror. The program includes valuable information, videos and “quizzes”,
to check learning. This program will be available by summer 2005.
- “Anti-Terrorism
Awareness Training for Law Enforcement” – An in-depth distance
learning program will be available to law enforcement officers in the fall
of 2005 to enhance their knowledge of terrorism, terrorists operations
and safety issues. This self-paced program will be available to sworn
law enforcement officers through a verified sign-in procedure. The
program includes a variety of detailed information, supplemented with videos
and case studies.
