Biography

Alyssa is a doctoral student in the School of Criminal Justice at Michigan State University where she is a recipient of the Colloge of Social Science's Dean's Assistantship. Alyssa received her B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and her M.S. in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University. Her research interests include adolescent offending, juvenile sentencing and correctional practices, and familial relationships. Her primary area of focus is the outcomes of youth involved in both the child welfare and juvenile justice systems.
