Curriculum Vitae


Spencer G. Lawson, M.S., is a doctoral candidate in the School of Criminal Justice at Michigan State University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) in 2016 and a Master of Science in criminal justice and public safety in 2017 from SPEA-IUPUI. His community-based research focuses broadly on justice-involved behavioral health populations and the safety and wellness of justice system professionals, with other interests spanning topics such as organizational justice and pretrial risk assessments. Lawson’s recent work has appeared in CriminologyJustice QuarterlyCriminology & Public Policy, and Police Quarterly.
