Alyssa LaBerge Receives Hiram E. Fitzgerald Engaged Scholar Fellowship

Criminal Justice Doctoral Student Alyssa LaBerge has received the Hiram E. Fitzgerald Engaged Scholar Fellowship from The Graduate School at Michigan State University! The Hiram E. Fitzgerald Engaged Scholar Fellowship is granted to MSU graduate students who's work or research focuses on adverse childhood experiences.

Alyssa is a third-year doctoral student in the School of Criminal Justice at Michigan State University. She received her B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and her M.S. in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University. Alyssa’s work and research is community-engaged and practice-focused. She is project manager for the Juvenile Risk Assessment Team, a research collaborative between Michigan State University and the Ingham County 30th Circuit Court—Family Division. Her research interests include adolescent offending and familial relationships, and her primary area of focus is the outcomes of youth involved in both the child welfare and juvenile justice systems.
