January 25, 2023

The School of Criminal Justice’s Online Masters Program in Criminal Justice has been ranked 6th in the Nation by US News & World Report. This marks the 7th year in a row that our program has been listed in the Top 10. The School of Criminal Justice is also ranked in U.S. News and World Report’s Top 10 Best Criminology Schools – the only School in the Big 10 to be feature on both lists.

Dr. Chris Melde, Director of the School of Criminal Justice states “Our consistent ranking in the top 10 programs in the country is a testament to our faculty and instructors who continually seek to innovate to meet the needs of a changing criminal justice workforce.”

These latest rankings come at a time when the School is preparing to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the launch of our Online Masters Program in Criminal Justice. Our program was the first online program launched at MSU and the first ever online Masters Program in Criminal Justice offered.

Students enrolled in the Online Masters Program have the opportunity to learn from faculty with decades of combined experience in fields of study such as policing, terrorism, corrections, white collar crime, and cybercrime. Alumni from our online program have gone on to work for the private sector and public sector at the local, state, and federal levels.

Allison Rojek, Director of Online Programs says “In a competitive market of online degree programs, a top 10 ranking in the US News and World Report confirms the quality of education we provide to our students.”

Thank you to all of our students, faculty, staff, and alumni who have built and represented the School of Criminal Justice and its programs.
